For the Love of Art: A Collection of Artistic Inspiration
Bogard not only displays in the pages the various types of art, but she also gives a concise explanation. She covers Representational Art, Abstract Art, Non-objective Art, Print Making, and Sculpture. Bogard, herself an artist, is multi-talented. Dispersed throughout the book are photographs of her work, beautiful to say the least. I haven’t painted for a long time and looking at Bogard’s representation of art is inspiring me to get back to the canvas. I realize I've been missing the time out to be creative. Recently I submitted some previous work for selection to be part of The Painters' Round Table, with work done in a two-day class to be donated to the new building at a local business school. I was one of the twelve chosen out of hundreds of applicants. Perusing and immensely enjoying Roma Bogard’s “For the Love of Art” is stimulating me to start thinking of what my intent for the project will be. Thank you Roma, your personal work is outstanding, and the art of the other women portrayed in “For the Love of Art: A Collection of Artistic Inspiration” is phenomenal. It has been a joy being inspired by the work. |
