“The Pygmalion Effect” is an awesome book. It is about three unfortunates who live with three priests. The priests would treat them like slaves or like they were not even human. The unfortunates would be forced to clean the floor even if it was spotless before and they gave up most of their portion of food to the priests. The unfortunates get tired of the way they are treated so they make a plan. The book was based in the future and, in the future, unfortunates are looked down upon.

They were forced to find food or die of starvation. Unfortunates were not educated unless they lived with the priests. The three unfortunates would study everyday when they were not doing chores. They would study any and everything. They were so smart that they scored high on one of the tests and people were talking, but one of the priests said they cheated. They blackmailed the priests to get what they want. They left the priests because the priests were getting so dangerous. They went to live with other unfortunates -- smart ones at that.

My favorite part would have to be when the unfortunates outsmart the priests because the priests are supposed to be more educated than them. Also I loved when the unfortunates got enlightened to never come back because that showed all the unfortunates that they don’t have to be scared of them and if they were to come together they all don’t have to live like animals anymore.

To me, a book where you can see in to the future is very entertaining. The story was easy to follow and lovely-written. I love this book because I like reading about people who are less fortunate than most. This book will inspire you to stand up for what you believe in and to always go for what you want. “The Pygmalion Effect” is a book for teens and adults. I highly recommend this book to teenagers who have trouble believing in themselves. I hope you go and read it because it’s a great book and I know you will love it.
