Gerard F. Bianco is a Brooklyn, New York born writer who was raised among the smoky pool halls, Italian social clubs and Irish bars. This atmosphere was the inspirational influence which sparked his book “The Deal Master.”

Mr. Bianco took me on a trip through terror. Right from the start, Gerard brought me onto a scene of a woman that was brutally murdered, a very graphic murder that included a strange sexual twist. As the story progressed, women were being mutilated and murdered, but the lead detective on the case, William Gillette, had clues but no suspects. The horror mounted with every chapter as Detective Gillette follows one dead end after another and the web of intrigue just seems to be getting bigger with every victim. All the victims had particular characteristics and all were killed in a similar sadistic fashion. They were killed in a very strange and cruel way to say the least. Along the way Gillette has his own life struggles with an ex-wife, his job and some very interesting and dangerous encounters; but manages to sift through it all and enjoy some amorous moments too.

“The Deal Master” continued to keep me guessing every step of the way to the grand finale. This book is a thriller. A well written Who-Done-It that kept my eyes glued to its 249 pages. I thoroughly enjoyed “The Deal Master” from the first page to the last. It had all the ingredients that a good mystery novel should have and then some. Mr. Bianco has excelled in this fine work and I can do no more than to give “The Deal Master” my best A+ rating. If you are a mystery buff, this is one volume you will want for your library.
