In “Healing Your Marriage When Trust Is Broken Cindy,” author Cindy Beall takes us on her journey through shock, pain and changes after her husband Chris tells her he has been unfaithful in their marriage and has gotten another woman pregnant. Infidelity is one of the things that no woman wants to hear about. Chris and Cindy, a loving couple, were involved in their community and church. Chris not only confessed to infidelity but to addiction to pornography as well.

After Chris’ shocking news, Cindy knew they were in for a long battle on how to get things right again in their marriage. Negative thoughts consumed her about how this would impact her son, and those who believed in them in their church. Cindy had choices to make- should she leave her husband of 18 years or stick around and ask God for help on this scary journey?

After Chris’ confession, he lost his job as a pastor in the church, and without this job, he and his family had no medical insurance. He and Cindy began to take charge of the situation by learning to communicate openly, do family events together and, yes, go to a health department to be tested for any STDs. Chris was willing to do any type of work and eventually found a job at Home Depot. Cindy also found a job at Life Church TV, even though it was very humiliating for her as she wondered what everyone around her was thinking.

Regardless of what life threw at them, the Beall’s knew that God was the answer to guide them through this difficult time. He was the only one who never failed them.

Throughout “Healing Your Marriage When Trust Is Broken,” Cindy Beall provides stories about couples who have gone through the same thing she did. She has met with them and shared her experiences of her journey and how she and Chris survived this traumatic time. At the end of each chapter, the author provides “Your Healing Journal” where she asks questions about such things as “Can you relate to Cindy? And what is the new normal like for you?”

In “Healing Your Marriage When Trust Is Broken,” Cindy Beall was very open and honest about her journey. Her goal wasn’t to get readers to feel sorry for her but to gain insight into how one can navigate troubled waters in their own life. Her ability to get readers to look at their soul was incredible and inspiring.
