Richard Battle got his first job as a newspaper delivery boy when he was eleven years old. With the guidance and advice of his parents, he learned 14 valuable lessons that have impacted his entire life, both working and private. He shares these lessons with us in this thoughtful, well-written book.

His first lesson was to be responsible and he explores this idea in the first chapter, before going on to outline each lesson in successive chapters, using both his own life experiences and the life experiences of various prominent individuals as examples.

This book would be of immense help to today’s parents as they struggle to instill the value of hard work into children being raised in a society that demands instant gratification, either as a prime workbook for them or a required reading for their child.
