In the beginning, brothers Netre and Otra ruled the first tribe of the earth.  Jealousy tore at them.  Anubis, the half jackal/half man god, cried tears over one brother’s betrayal to the other.  The tears of Anubis formed into one large ruby.  Anubis gave the Anubinake people the gift of being able to turn into wolves.  The tears of Anubis ruby could only be taken by the Alpha’s true mate.

Elle Reddington has sensual dreams of a black-haired, silver-eyed man.  This wolf god keeps appearing in her dreams to tell her that he is coming.  When she finally meets Xavier Skye, she knows that he is the one.  Xavier feels that she is the one for the ruby. As they are caught up in their passion, outcasts from the pack are plotting to take control. 
           
Being forced to fight back, Elle discovers who she really is, and the depths of her true power.  She and Xavier must work together to restore order.  They both know that they are meant to be together.

“Tears of Anubis” is a wonderfully sensual short story.    It is something that must be read by a reader who needs to take a break.  It is a fantasy so much more vivid and colorful than anything that I could dream up!
