College student Logan Bauer is plunged unwillingly into a murder investigation when his girlfriend becomes the accused killer.  In addition, Logan just may have accidentally photographed the crime when a school project malfunctions.  Logan travels from the Midwest to Louisiana and even to Russia to help discover the truth and set his girlfriend free. 

In his first book, Mr. Atkinson has succeeded in taking the classic format of suspense books and condensing it, leaving all the things you love about thrillers in place. The story is full of twists and turns, secrets and suspense. The fast-pace and quickly unfolding events will keep any reader guessing about the resolution of the story.  The length of “The Black Tea Experiments” is just right for a day at the beach, while traveling, or whenever you are looking for a good read, yet don’t want to commit to a full-length novel.   I enjoyed this new, quick-read format and look forward to more from this author!
