Somehow it seems appropriate that a former phlebotomist would write a great vampire story!  This is exactly what author Elisa Adams has done in this Ellora’s Cave Quickie.  The story is only 45 pages, so it is a fast read and a nice way to take a break, especially if you are reading this on your computer at work.  You get to read something fun and still look like you are at work.  Not that I am saying that I am doing that right now.

Anyway, “So I Married a Vampire” is part of the “Naughty Nuptials” series.  The story begins with Jane, a vampire huntress, on her wedding day.  Her intended, Ethan, a vampire unbeknownst to her at the time, appears to be standing her up.  She fears that history is repeating itself.  Four years ago, he just disappeared on her.  When she finally runs into him again, he gives her the excuse that he was too young at the time.  The truth is, he and his best friend Cameron, had been turned by a female vampire.  This time, they have a whirlwind courtship and are getting married right away.

Immediately after the nuptials, at the reception, Ethan tells her that he is a vampire.  She suspects that he married her to protect himself from her and her vampire-hunting colleagues.  He has to convince her that he loves her.  The best way to show her how much he loves her is to present her with a night of passion with himself and Cameron.  Their talented ways manage to get her past the idea that she married a vampire.

This is a really fun story to read.  The focus is really on the relationship and the sensual scenes.  If you are comfortable with reading about ménage a trois and men with men, you will definitely enjoy this story, “So I Married a Vampire.”
